The Fox Family ministry is a faith based ministry, which means that they do NOT charge for the ministry work that they do. It does not mean that they are independently wealthy (because they are not), or that there is not a financial cost to do what they do (because there is).
The operational cost of the Fox Family ministry is very efficient. Because they have given up a home and "normal" lives, much of their cost for living has been reduced. In fact, if all of their children married and went their separate ways, their living cost would increase ten fold. Please do not feel sorry for the life they live, because God takes good care of His faithful children. He has and continues to supply each and every one of their needs, and more, according to His will.
Even though they converted their buses into motor-homes themselves, they still make payments on their home (their buses) just like we do. Their cost to provide food and clothing is no different than ours (that is, if you wait for discounts and shop at thrift stores abroad as they do). Because they live and travel in buses, their fuel, mechanical and automobile insurance bills, are of course, much larger than ours. They have phone bills, education bills, medical bills, just like we do. Well, their medical bills will be larger than most of ours because they have no health insurance. I am not trying to list each and every one of their expenses; I can't. What I am trying to express to you is that even with what they have given up, it still costs a lot of money to live. So, the question you may be asking is, "How can they live with no set income?" Ah, that my friends is through the glorious work of God in using His people.
God designed His church as a body. Each part of the body of Christ has a necessary function. The Fox Family ministry is functioning according to God's call, by faith. The way God provides for their financial needs is through His people. As long as the Fox Family is obedient to God's call, God will instruct other people to financially support their ministry work. You don't have to take my word for it; the Fox Family ministry has continued by faith for over 20 years.
The Fox Family has sacrificed much in their personal lives for the cause of Christ. Still, their ministry could not exist without the body of Christ (the true church). If all churches refused to allow the Fox Family to connect to their church power and water, how could they live in their buses? If no one ever gave money in support of their ministry, how could they continue to survive? God is capable to provide for them by turning water into diesel fuel or rocks into bread, but His Word teaches us that He uses His people to function as one body. Are all true Christians a needed part in the body of Christ? The answer is yes! So then, may I ask, what role do you play in the body of Christ?
If you feel led to make a financial contribution to the work of Christ through the Fox Family Ministry, please use the link below, and I know God will bless you for being obedient to Him.
